In view of the all-India bandh call by the Congress and Left parties, commuters may likely face fuel shortage on Monday. Educational institutions, especially those located near main roads, will also remain closed on Monday.
“We haven’t announced a holiday for private schools, but those located near main roads will remain closed owing to security reasons.
Respective college managements will take a decision whether to call a holiday
based on the local situation,” said S Madhusudhan Reddy, president, Telangana Private Schools Management Association.
However, many petrol bunk owners in the city said that if the protestors forcibly asked them to shut petrol outlets, only then will they remain closed.
“Or else we will continue running our outlets,” said M Prabhakar Reddy, chairman of the All India Petrol Dealers Association.
