Congress leader Bakka Judson demanded that the state government initiate action against illegal mining in Banda Ravirala and Chinna Ravirala villages in Abdullapur mandal in Ibrahimpatnam Assembly constituency.

Speaking to media persons on Friday, Judson alleged that the mining mafia was resorting to illegal mining in these villages with the support of minister K.T.Rama Rao. He said that villagers were agitating against illegal mining for 412 days but there has been no response from the state government or the

officials concerned.

Judson said that Congress had lodged several complaints on this issue with authorities but to no avail. He said that party had approached even the National Human Rights Commission on this issue which issued notices to the Rangareddy collector.

Judson said that land parcels were assigned to poor Dalits during the previous Congress regimes but were forcibly grabbed by the BRS government and  handed over to illegal miners.
