The Congress said it had exposed flaws in the final voters list published by the Election Commission on Wednesday. It released details of multiple entries and deaths and voters who have since shifted but the figure in the final voter's list said PCC election commission coordination committee chairman G. Niranjan.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Niranjan said that the EC once again failed to publish the rectified list. He pointed out many errors in the final electoral rolls pertaining to the Bahadurpura Assembly constituency and door numbers in Khairatabad and Jubilee Hills
constituencies.
"Many house numbers printed on the voters list are not in order. The voters are put to confusion in finding their house number to check their vote. This shows the incompetence of the Election Commission," Niranjan said.
He asked the District Congress Committees to undertake an intensive drive to identify the discrepancies in the final voters list and to send it to TPCC.
Niranjan stated that Congress will move the High Court against the EC for publishing flawed final electoral rolls even after Congress had raised objections when the draft electoral rolls were released.
