Telangana Pradesh Congress Party (TPCC) president A Revanth Reddy on Friday said the party would oppose the tariff proposed by the power utilities in the State.
Participating in a public hearing organised by Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission (TSERC) on tariff proposals, he urged the former to reject the proposals submitted by the
power utilities and added that there were several pending dues in Hyderabad.
He sought to know why criminal cases should not be booked against officials for their negligence that was resulting in accidents near transformers and poles. He said the party would oppose any move to increase the tariff as it would impose additional burden on consumers.
