Conjoined twins, Veena and Vani take SSC exam

Conjoined twins Veena and Vani appeared for the SSC Public Examinations at a centre in Madhura Nagar here on Thursday. On day one of the exam, the twins took first language paper-1 at Pratibha High School. They reached the centre 30 minutes prior to commencement of the examination in an ambulance from the State Home in Yousufguda.

Jubilee Hills MLA M Gopinath greeted Veena and Vani at the centre and presented them with pens. The Directorate



of Government Exams made required arrangements, including scribes, for the twins. After writing the two-hour-forty-five-minute exam, they travelled back to the State Home in the ambulance.

The twins took admission in Government High School, Vengal Rao Nagar, and were taught by the teachers at the State Home. They reportedly scored 80 per cent in their class X pre-final examinations.
