Controversial speeches of various leaders are under scanner: DGP Mahender Reddy

Telangana DGP Mahender Reddy yesterday said the controversial speeches of various leaders of different political parties are under scanner and legal opinion is being sought before taking any action.

Addressing a media conference in Hyderabad, he said, some individuals are planning to create disturbance in the city during the GHMC



elections. 

Responding to a question, he said, action is being taken against those who are planning to create disturbances. He said the police have specific information about those who are trying to create disturbances and the police are constantly watching the social media, to identify objectionable messages, which can lead to law and order problems.
