An inter-state drug peddling gang, involved in smuggling of drugs from Odisha to Maharashtra via Hyderabad, was caught by the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Secunderabad railway station on Friday. Marijuana weighing 10.1 kg, worth Rs 2.50 lakh, was seized them.

The arrested were identified as Arun Kumar and



Dipak Kumar, both rag pickers from Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. The prime suspect, Mohit, a native of Uttar Pradesh, is absconding. Arun and Dipak, who are addicted to consuming narcotic substances, were currently residing in Rathnagiri of Maharashtra. Recently, they learnt about Mohit earning easy and big money through drug peddling and planned to join hands with him.
