On the instructions of Cyberabad Commissionerate, cordon and search operation was held in Rajendranagar by Shamshabad police on Thursday.The entire operation was conducted under Shamshabad DCP Prakash Reddy. He interacted with the public and noted the community problems.
“The operation sent a positive message to the public and many expressed appreciations of the efforts by the police in keeping the city safe. We believe that this initiative would drive fear into the minds of criminals and anti-social elements as also a sense of assurance and security among all the residents,”
said the DCP.
During the operation, a total of 40 two-wheelers, 5 autos and 2 cars without proper documents were detained for verification. 20 CCTV cameras were also installed in the locality with public support. 3 suspects were taken into custody and checked their activities and 22 persons who were found consuming liquor in public places were taken into custody, later they were counselled.
Around 150 policemen participated in the cordon search operation which held at weaker section colony area of Rajendranagar limits.
