Hyderabad: With health authorities and an IT company confirming the first round of coronavirus test being positive for a software employee working in Raheja Mindspace, two buildings in the IT park were in shutdown mode. The IT company on its part turned employees back this morning and asked them to work from home.
The second floor of building no. 20, where the software employee work, has seen a massive sanitation drive since Wednesday morning.
An employee who is currently in the isolation ward at the state-run Gandhi Hospital, had traveled to Italy recently. The first test of employee's
samples have tested positive and a second round of test results are awaited.
The closure of the two buildings in the IT park led to a frenzy of mails, messages and photographs being circulated among software professionals resulting in many others applying for the work from home option. "Since morning we have been getting these updates and have been cross checking. Some Colleagues have confirmed that they were sent back", said a software professional working in the IT park.
Also, screen grabs of the company’s official email sent out to employees were shared widely.
