The CPI(M) on Sunday announced its first list of 14 candidates for the upcoming polls to the State assembly. The CPI(M) has decided to contest 17 seats independently in the upcoming November 30 polls after failing to reach a seat sharing agreement with Congress.

Party State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram would be contesting from Palair assembly constituency in Khammam district, while former MLA Julakanti Ranga Reddy has been filed from Miryalguda. The other candidates include, Karram Pullaiah(Bhadrachalam, ST), Pittala Arjun



Aswaraopet, ST), P Bhaskar(Madhira,SC), Bhukya Veerabhadram (Wyra, ST), Yerra Srikanth (Khammam), M Bharathi (Sathupalli), SC), Bojja China Venkulu (Nakirekal, SC), K Narsimha (Bhongir), Moku Kanakareddy(Jangaon), P Yadaiah(Ibrahimpatnam), J Mallikarjun(Patancheru) and M Dasaradh(Musheerabad).

Veerabhadram said the remaining three candidates’ names would be released shortly. He said in the event of the Congress and the CPI forging an alliance and the CPI contests from the Kothagudem constituency, his party would support the CPI candidate.
