Crocodile found at Azampura area

A crocodile of around one foot surfaced on the Azampura road creating both panic and curiosity amongst the public.The incident took place near the Azampura Railway Bridge when a GHMC worker got bewildered after finding the crocodile crawling on the road.

A crowd gathered in no time after he pointed it out to a few passersby. The numbers grew higher with more and more people joining in to have a glimpse of the



reptile. Somehow, one person from the crowd caught it and after tying its mouth with a nylon rope managed to bundle it in a bag.

The man then marched to the Chaderghat police station and informed the police about it. The policemen who initially did not understand what to do informed the Nehru Zoological Park authorities. A team from the Chaderghat police station shifted the crocodile to the zoo park.
