The Telangana state government has requested the Union ministry of Jal Shakti (MoJS) to postpone the meeting to be conducted on December 8 in New Delhi to review the situation relating to Nagarjunasagar Project (NSP), to some other date in January.

In a letter to the secretary, department of water resources, Telangana Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari said the state administration was



busy making arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony of the new government followed by the Cabinet meeting.

The meeting under chairpersonship of the MoJS secretary, was supposed to be conducted on December 6 in physical mode, was rescheduled for December 8 in view of intense cyclonic conditions formed over the Bay of Bengal.
