Hyderabad police chief C.V. Anand on Monday inspected Humayunnagar, Kulsumpura, Gudimalkapur and Golconda police stations and the deputy commissioner of the police office in the southwest zone. He also inspected the new buildings meant for police stations.
Anand reviewed the progress of construction work with the contractors and urged them to expedite pending civil works and prepare for the inauguration of the buildings. Along with senior officials, Anand assessed the facilities, infrastructure, operational readiness, and amenities available to the general public.
Anand directed police officials to guide visitors about the new police
stations and offices and changes in the jurisdiction.
Citing the dynamic nature of events in the city, the commissioner exhorted his deputies to handhold the officers till they settle in their new roles. He stressed the importance of exerting all efforts at all levels to make the new units fully functional at the earliest.
DCPs briefed Anand on manpower staffing, IT infrastructure and other matters. Senior police officials G. Sudheer Babu, additional commissioner of police, traffic, Kiran Khare, DCP southwest zone and other officials accompanied the commissioner, a press release said.
