Cyberabad police introduces 'SHE Shuttle' bus between JNTU and Biodiversity Park

The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) jointly with the Cyberabad Police introduced a ‘SHE Shuttle’ bus connecting JNTU in Kukatpally to Biodiversity Park at HICC Novotel in Madhapur here on Friday.

Speaking at the event, SCSC Chairman and Cyberabad Police Commissioner M.Stephen Raveendra said the vehicle has been launched specially for the safety and security of the Women in the Information Technology corridor.

“Free transportation exclusively for women in peak hours provides ease and comfort in travelling. It also helps them to be safe from being harassed



while commuting,” he said.

Krishna Yedula, General Secretary, SCSC said the safety and security of the IT Industry being the prime motto, the shuttle has been launched.

Earlier, as part of Women’s Conclave, a panel discussion on women safety attended by Divya Devarajan, Special Secretary, Department of Women and Children, Shikha Goel, Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, was held.

The initiative was launched in 2015 and five shuttles on board are being used by hundreds of commuters monthly.
