In pursuance of a notification issued to all banks to adopt safety measures on January 3, the Cyberabad police will conduct a check on the safety standard measures on Banks and ATMs from February 15. In this connection, a meeting is being organized with the officials of all the nationalised and private banks in the office of the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad.
The Cyberabad Commissioner of Police has warned that any Bank and its officials found violating the order and not taking precautionary measures will be prosecuted under Hyderabad
City Police Act read with Rule 7 of Cyberabad Metropolitan Police Act 2004 and Sec. 6 (1) (2) (3) of Public Safety & Enforcement Act – 2013.
It may be mentioned here that on January 3 a notification was issued to all Banks and ATMs with certain instructions i.e. safe guarding of Banks and ATMs with trained security guards with licenced weapon round the clock, Quality Night vision CC Cameras should be fitted with three months backup in the Banks and ATMs, Alarm with sensor system to detect any attack in Banks and ATMs, Fixing of Magnetic lock to banks and ATMs and the Location of ATMs should be at the safe and public visible place etc. The Commissioner has given time to comply with is instructions by February 15.
