Dabeerpura byelection arrangements reviewed

District Election Officer and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner, DS Lokesh Kumar on Monday directed officials to complete the ballot papers printing for ensuing byelection in Dabeerpura ward.

While reviewing the arrangements, Kumar told officials to print names and symbols on papers as per election rules. For conducting elections in a transparent manner, webcasting facility will be extended to 66 polling stations in the ward and accordingly various service providers along with BSNL need to be utilised, he



instructed.

Kumar directed officials to provide facilities at GHMC municipal indoor stadium in Amberpet and for expediting counting process, 14 tables would be set up and the whole process recorded.

He wanted all works related to elections to be completed on time as per check list and one person to be appointed additionally at each polling station to identify the voter.

The ward has 50,015 voters for whom 66 polling stations are to be set up in 18 different locations.
