Telangana State Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha has said 22 new central medical stores will be operational within a week, ensuring every district has one.
At a high-level review meeting the minister said, the supply chain management for medicines will be streamlined in three stages, with dedicated personnel overseeing each stage.
He also said E-Aushadhi portal workshops will be conducted for pharmacists to ensure effective usage. He
directed the officials to update the medicine stock details online without fail and also ensured display boards showed available medicines in hospital pharmacies.
He also asked the officials to take measures to strengthen food safety including upgrading the Nacharam Food Safety Lab and establishing new labs in Warangal, Nizamabad and Mahbubnagar. Five mobile food testing labs will be operational within a month.
