Principal Secretary for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Arvind Kumar on Friday directed the officials concerned to ensure disposal of all online building applications within the stipulated 21 days in accordance with the government orders issued earlier.
A meeting with the line departments such as fire services, registration, revenue and irrigation would be convened shortly to sort out the issues pertaining to granting permissions for online building applications.
Kumar reviewed the progress of disposal of online building applications with officials of HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority), DTCP (Director of Town and Country Planning) and GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) at Secretariat on Friday.
He wanted them to clear all pending applications pertaining to LRS (land
regularisation scheme) by this month end. Further, the HMDA officials have been directed to send a district-wise list of net pending cases to the Collectors concerned. A joint meeting of HMDA and revenue officials would be held on a regular basis whenever clarity on government lands is required.
The Principal Secretary suggested that HMDA should use technology such as engaging drone cameras to identify illegal constructions.He asked the DTCP to conduct weekly review meetings with all the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to expedite the process of clearing pending LRS and building permission applications.
HMDA Commissioner Chiranjeevulu, Collector of Medchal M V Reddy and Collector of Ranga Reddy Raghunandan Rao, and S Balakrishna of the planning department attended the meeting.
