The shifting of offices and the construction of new Secretariat building were put on hold for the time being. The date for laying the foundation stone for the new Secretariat building has also been postponed due to the financial crisis of the state government following demonetisation.
Sources said the financial situation would be reviewed by  CM K Chandrasekhar Rao and a fresh date would be finalised



later.
TS government had planned to construct a new Secretariat building with an estimated cost of `300 and `500 crore.  Shifting of Secretariat offices has also been postponed.“There will be no shifting of Secretariat offices till the case in High Court against the demolition of the existing buildings is vacated. The shifting of Secretariat will start only after the court case,” an official said.
