Hyderabad: The price of the desi variety of red chillies was Rs. 81,000 cents per quintal on Monday at the largest agricultural market in Asia, Enumamula, Warangal. However, compared to the Rs 90,000 per quintal of the previous year, it was low.

The Teja variety cost up to Rs 36,000 per



quintal.

The desi red chillies arrived at the market in a variety of varieties and weighed a total of 6,192 quintals.

In the previous year, a quintal of desi red chillies was purchased in India for Rs 90,000. The Jangaon district's Palakurthy, Devaruppula, and Kodakandla Mandals contribute the most chillies.
