A high-level meeting was convened by in-charge DGP Anjani Kumar following a skirmish over cattle transportation at Karmanghat on Tuesday night. A Sub-inspector was injured in the stone pelting that followed the incident.
The Commissioners of Hyderabad, Rachakonda and Cyberabad along with Additional DGP (Intelligence), Additional DG (Law & Order), Inspector General of Police (Counter Intelligence) and other officials attended the meeting.
“It has been resolved that firm action will be taken against communal offenders and those who are trying to disturb communal harmony
in the State,” Anjani Kumar said.
Stating that no individual or group would be allowed to take law enforcement into their hands, he said it was the responsibility of individuals or groups to inform the police if there was any information on such untoward incidents.
“The police will take action immediately,” he said, adding that history sheets and communal sheets too would be opened against any violators of law.
Telangana is progressing fast and no one will be allowed to tarnish the image of the State by creating a communal situation, he added.
