The Telangana Director General of Police, Dr. Jitender has asked the Anti-Narcotics Bureau officials to take tough measures to control the supply of drugs in the State.

At a meeting held to review the measures initiated for drug trafficking, the DGP emphasized that despite on-going efforts to control the sale of drugs, stringent measures must be taken to curb the supply of narcotics across Telangana. He instructed the Anti-Narcotics Bureau to act decisively and intensify its operations against drug suppliers.

The DGP also directed that bureau personnel be stationed



near educational institutions and other suspicious locations to ensure a strict crackdown on drug-related activities.

Additional DGP for (Law and Order), Mahesh M. Bhagwat stated that it is not only important to apprehend suspects but also to present sufficient evidence in court to ensure their conviction.

Anti-Narcotics Bureau Director, Sandeep Shandilya expressed his satisfaction with the additional deployment of manpower and shared that the bureau has published training materials to aid in the prosecution of suspects.
