Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has embarked upon another task with a slogan of ‘Digithon Digital Yatra’ in the State.
The Yatra has begun on September 9 from Hyderabad and would end on Friday covering 31 districts of the State. This is the extension of 100 K Digithon and aims at educating and motivating the district level leadership of the Digithon in carrying out the Digital literacy program in their respective places.
The 100 K Digithon has been a success with most of the sections of society learning Digital technologies and gaining hands on experience on digital transactions during past one week.
TITA Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala said in a statement that the Digithon Digital Yatra aims at making the digital literacy program more successful and keeping the
district level teams charged for other events in the coming days.
One of the major goals is to make sure that one can roam across the State doing many transactions for necessary things on the way without having to spend a single rupee in hard cash rather only through digital transactions, he added. He said, “This Yatra is the unique and first of its kind in country and would surely make the masses digitally literate.”
Thousands of people have been approached by the Digital soldiers and Digital Teachers as part of the 100K Digithon marking the Teachers Day in the first week of this month.
Telangana government and Minister of IT & Industries K T Rama Rao have appreciated the digital literacy campaign run by the TITA team in collaboration with Mee Seva and other stakeholders.
