Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Sunday said the question paper leak in the TS Public Service Commission (TSPSC) was like a mini-Vyapam recruitment scam that took under the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh which the CBI was probing.
The Congress would take stern action against those involved in the TSPSC scame if the party was elected to power in Telangana, he said while addressing a press conference in Gandhi Bhavan here.
Singh said the unemployed youth faced several problems because of irregularities in TSPSC.
It was the Congress government led by the late Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, which developed Hyderabad and constructed the Outer Ring Road (ORR). He said it was because of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi that Telangana was granted statehood.
He assured that the
Congress would implement Six Guarantees (6Gs) promised to the people in Telangana by Sonia Gandhi if the party was voted to power.
Stating that the Congress would not indulge in communal politics, Singh said the party was against those who indulge in politics based on religion. "Lord Rama is God for everyone, but some people are using him for politics," he said.
Referring to the Rythu Bandhu scheme introduced by the BRS government, Singh said the scheme was benefiting only rich landlords.
To a question on who would be Chief Ministerial candidate if the Congress was voted to power in Madhya Pradesh after the elections, he said the former Chief Minister Kamal Nath would be an ideal candidate but the party would follow the process after consulting the MLAs.
