The Telangana state
government has made an elaborate arrangements for the distribution of fish
medicine to asthma patients. The fisheries department has readied nearly one
lakh fish in this regard.
Nearly 1500 police personnel have been deployed to see that no stampede occurred during distribution of medicine and 1100 volunteers are assisting the distribution work. Separate queues were formed for women, children and the aged. The TSRTC has been plying special buses to the venue. The fish medicine will be administered to patients till tomorrow morning uninterruptedly.

who arrived here from different parts of the country and also from neighbouring
countries like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Asthma patients started reaching the
venue since last evening and are standing in the serpentine queues for
obtaining this medicine.
This miracle fish medicine, also known as fish prasadam is believed to cure asthma and other respiratory problems. Bathini family of Hyderabad has been administering this medicine free of cost for the last 160 years. The medicine is given to patients on the day of mrugasira karthe that generally falls on June 8th every year.
