Don't believe in baseless rumours: City Police Commissioner

The City Police on Friday said that adequate security arrangements were in place to maintain peace and public order in the city and that there was no need for the public to panic hearing baseless rumours.

Responding to reports on rumours being spread on social media that terrorists had planned bomb blasts on Saturday at many places, City Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy said such information on social media was false.“Law and order is



under control in and around the city. We request the people not to believe in rumours circulated on social media,” he said.

The message which many people received from various quarters mentioned places such as the Saibaba temple in Dilsukhnagar, the Kukatpally shopping complex, Mehdipatnam, Charminar, Old City, Lakdi-ka-pul, Dhoolpet, Kachiguda, Secunderabad Railway Station, Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station and Hi-Tech City.
