Draw to select Haj pilgrims to be held today

Chief Electoral Officer, Mr. Bhanwar Lal had imposed a ban on draw to be held to select Hajj pilgrims on account of MLC elections to be held on 19th March.

Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Special Officer of Hajj Committee made a representation quoting instances of draw conducted by Central Hajj Committee in Northern States. State Election



Commission contacted Central Election Commission and as a result of which State Election Commission accorded conditional permission to Telangana State Hajj Committee to hold draw today but no politician should be invited for it.

Prof. S.A. Shukoor informed that for 330 seats of General Category draw will be held today.
