DRI seizes 5 kg cocaine at Shamshabad airport

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 5 kg cocaine at the Shamshabad airport from an Indian national who was arriving from Laos via Singapore and was bound for Delhi. 

The contraband, wrapped in brown tape, was



concealed in the false bottom of a check-in suitcase and four ladies’ handbags carried in the check-in baggage, the DRI said. The haul was valued at Rs.50 crore in the international market.
