Surveillance stepped up by the Khammam police using drones helped them in keeping those indulging in cock fighting and playing cards in mango and palm oil farms at bay during Sankranti festival this time. Using three high-resolution drone cameras intensified surveillance in mango and palm oil farms in Sathupalli, Vemsoor and VM Banjar,

among other areas bordering Krishna district and Eluru in Andhra Pradesh one week before the festival.
