Drones banned at ICRISAT, Munchinthal

Prohibitory orders against drones and any kind of flying machines under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure will be in vogue at ICRISAT in Ramachandrapuram and the ‘Statue of Unity’ in Muchinthal in Shamshabad in view of visits of President Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries.

According to Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Stephen Raveendra, in the order issued on Friday, there was every likelihood of breach of peace and disturbance of public



tranquility and imposed a ban on use of such devices.

The order said no flying activities of remotely controlled drones or para-gliders or remotely controlled micro-light aircraft would be allowed at ICRISAT and ‘Statue of Unity’ in the Cyberabad Police 
Commissionerate limits. The order would be in force at ICRISAT and surroundings up to 8 pm on Saturday and upto 6 am on February 15, at the ‘Statue of Equality’ and its surroundings.
