Drunk Driver Kills 7-Year-Old in Hyderabad

An inebriated man crashed his speeding car into a motorbike at Ibrahimbagh under Golconda police limits, here on Saturday, killing a seven-year old boy on the spot and injuring his father. The deceased was identified as Sourya, a resident of YSR Colony.

His father Ramesh suffered injuries, but is out of danger. "In the

mishap, Sourya received a head injury and was unconscious while his father Ramesh suffered minor injuries.

The car driver tried to escape. However, locals chased the car and detained the driver. One Srinivas was driving the vehicle and he was in an intoxicated condition," Golconda sub-inspector S. Venkateswar said.
