Dundigal Police Crack Down on Illegal Poker Game; 11 Arrested

The Dundigal special operations team (SOT) arrested 11 persons for playing poker, that is banned in the state, during a raid on Thursday night. Dundigal inspector Ramakrishna said that the accused were playing poker on government land situated along the ORR service road.

Police seized Rs 50,000 from the accused as well as their mobile



phones. He refused to provide more details, in the backdrop of reports that those arrested had political connetions.

Among the arrested was E. Srinivas, known for organising gambling. The other accused include Krishna, Ramaraju, Vasu, Chandu, Veeraswamy, Hanmanthu, Sreenu, Arun and Venkatesh.
