Motorists enjoyed the hassle-free drive to reach Inorbit Mall from Madhapur after traffic was permitted on the structure from Monday.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao had thrown open the structure to traffic on Friday evening. Since the government has decided not to permit vehicular traffic on the bridge during weekends, vehicular traffic was allowed on Monday.

In view of the work from home practice in vogue due to Covid pandemic, there was moderate traffic on day one. Many motorists enjoyed the smooth drive and reached the other ends conveniently. “It hardly took me 15 minutes to reach Inorbit mall end from Jubilee Hills. Cable Bridge is not only cutting short the distance by about two kms, it is also reducing the travel time,” said a private employee.

Despite the presence of police to discourage motorists from stopping their

vehicles, many motorists, who were driving on the structure for first time couldn’t resist themselves from stopping and taking selfies. Along with the cable bridge, the Jubilee Hills Road no 45 flyover is now making things very convenient for motorists and especially employees who work in different corporate and IT companies in Hitec City, Gachibowli and other parts.

There is not much of traffic these days due to corona pandemic and many employees are working from home. Once things get back to normalcy, the importance of these two structures will be realised by many, says a private employee.

Complimenting GHMC for launching the structures, motorists have made an appeal to officials to complete the repair and relaying works on one side (Kavuri Hills-Jubilee Hills checkpost) of the stretch beneath the road no 45 flyover.
