Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge to be inaugurated today

The MA&UD Minister, K.T.Rama Rao will be inaugurating the cable stayed birdge across Durgam Cheruvu at Madhapur apart from the 4-lane elevated corridor from Road No.45 to Durgam Cheruvu, on Friday at 5.30 pm.

The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G.Kishan Reddy will be the chief guest for the inaugural. Ministers T.Srinivas Yadav, P.Sabitha Indra Reddy, Md.Mahmood Ali, V.Srinivas Goud, Assembly Deputy Speaker, T.Padma Rao, and others will also be



present.

The project undertaken by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation under SRDP stands as world’s largest span concrete deck extradosed cable stayed bridge, the GHMC said. The project involved meticulous planning and coordination with various international accredited firms from US, Europe, Russia and Hong Kong and keeping in view the Make in India campaign, the bridge was purely designed and constructed under EPC mode by L&T-HCIC, the civic body said.
