Deputy CM Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Wednesday flagged off the first batch of Haj pilgrims at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

“It is my request to you to pray for the welfare and development of the country and harmony, integrity and peace in the state,” he told pilgrims. 

Earlier, scholars like Maulana Mufti Khaleel Ahmed of Jamia Nizamia explained salient features



of Islamic prayers.

AIMIM MLA Jaffer Hussain Meraj congratulated the pilgrims for the holy journey. TSHC chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan said Telangana is the only state where peace and tranquility prevails.

“Arrangements were made to train the pilgrims in the city and districts,” special officer of Haj Committee SA Shukoor added.
