Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari in a meeting held in New Delhi on Tuesday submitted the proposal to sanction an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Hyderabad to the union minister of human resource development Prakash Javadekar.
During the meeting, Kadiyam Srihari, who headed the Central Advisory Board of Education sub-committee on girl child education also submitted a report in this regard to
the Union Minister.
The Minister’s office issued a press release according to which the sub-committee recommended provision of mid-day meals, uniforms up to intermediate level and the establishment of Gurukul schools for girls belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe in Telangana.
According to the reports, the Union Minister has responded positively to the recommendations.
