Eatala Rajender says No need to panic for new strain of coronavirus

There is no need to panic though a new strain of corona virus has been found in the UK," said Health Minister Eatala Rajender. "While the government was taking all precautionary measures, it is people who have a major role to play in preventing a second wave in the state," he said. 

The Health Minister appealed to the public not to lower the guard and ensure that all Covid-19 protocols like using masks, sanitising hands frequently, maintaining social distance and avoiding big gatherings. Such measures can help in maintaining the present levels of Covid cases.

would always be there till the vaccine arrives and hence people have to be alert and careful.

He said that it has been noticed that of late some people were neglecting wearing masks and those who were using were not covering their mouth and nose.

He assured the people that the state government on its part was ready to face any situation. The minister said that according to experts the virus could spread rapidly during winter which may last for another month or so. Hence, it was necessary for all to take precautionary measures.
