EC announces MLC polls on March 17

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday announced the schedule for the elections for nine seats of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council and one seat of Telangana Council from Local Authorities' constituencies which will be held on March 17.

1.The notification for the elections will be issued on February 21. The last date of making nominations will be February 26 and they would be scrutinised on March 1. 

The last date for withdrawal of candidature will be March 3 and polling will be held on March 17 from 8 am to 4 pm. The counting of votes will take place on March 20.
