EC announces revision of electoral rolls

The Election Commission of India has announced the Special Summary Revision (SSR) of electoral rolls of intensive nature with reference to January 1, 2019 as the qualifying date and the schedule has been fixed for taking up SSR, 2019 in Telangana.

• Those who attain 18 years of age by Jan 1, 2019 can register their names

• Those who missed earlier can register now

• Objections and corrections can be carried out 

• House to house verification will be done between May 21 and June 30

All eligible citizens who will attain 18 years of age as on Jan 1,  2019 and those missed to enrol



themselves on the earlier occasions can file their applications for enrolment, objections and corrections. House to house visits will be done by the BLO’s with pre-filled BLO resister containing the details of the existing electors  in the respective part.

All the electors and citizens are requested to extent their cooperation to the BLO who visits house to house. All objections and correction will be made form Sep 1, 2018 to  Oct 31, 2018. While filing their applications all citizens shall provide accurate information in all the columns of the relevant Form 6,7, 8 and 8A.
