The Election Commission has directed the Rangareddy district electoral officer (DEO) to inquire into the complaint lodged against BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao for conducting a meeting at T Hub, which is in a government premises, and submit a report.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has considered the petitions for taking further action.

Sources said that the DEO report was yet to be received by EC officials, who will initiate action based on the report.

Meanwhile, EC officials have directed all DEOs and collectors to complete investigations into complaints lodged by different political parties and individuals.

TPCC leader G. Niranjan filed a complaint a few days back



alleging that Rama Rao had misused T-Hub premises, which is tantamount to violation of the model code of conduct.

Earlier, the Saifabad police registered a case against the organiser for conducting an interview with Rama Rao at Telangana Martyrs Memorial.

Meanwhile, Niranjan said on Friday that voter information slips will be distributed by BLOs up to November 25, and the undistributed ones will be kept in a sealed cover and handed over to the concerned returning officers. The complainant asked EC officials to instruct DEOs to ensure that all BLOs are present in their respective polling stations on November 26 so that the voters can go and collect their voter information slips.
