EC flying squad seizes Rs 77 lakh from car In Attapur : One held

Election Commission officials here on Tuesday intercepted a car and seized Rs 77 lakh in Attapur area under Rajendranagar.  here

A flying squad of the Election Commission stopped the car at Attapur circle and inspected it and found a person was carrying the cash and seized it. They also immediately handed him over to the Rajendranagar police. To curb the smuggling of money before the GHMC elections, the Election officials have been conducting checks in various parts of the city. It is learnt that the man was carrying the money to put the same in ATMs for purpose of distribution among the voters.
