The Election Commission will test Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) from February 11 at Victory playground in Chaderghat for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections and the test EVMs will be used at polling centres in Hyderabad district.

The machines were brought from the warehouse in Chudi Bazar to the ground in the presence of District Election Officer (DEO) M Dana Kishore and the representatives of all the political

parties. Around 14,000 ballot units were brought to the ground along with the control units and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs).

However, the EVMs used in the polling centres at Jubilee Hills, Nampally, Khairatabad, Secunderabad and Goshamahal will not be tested as the politicians lodged complaints alleging there were faulty machines. M Dana Kishore said that the EVMs test will be held under CCTV surveillance.
