A team of Election Commission of India will arrive in Hyderabad on October 22 for a three-day visit to review the poll preparedness in Telangana state. The Election Commission will issue the election notification on November 12, and polling will be held on December 7 for the Telangana Assembly.
The EC team will meet political parties on October 22 from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm. After that, the team will hold discussions with the Telangana state chief electoral officer and state police nodal officers for one hour.
On October 23, the team
will meet district election officers, superintendents of police and the deputy inspector general of Police (DIG) and inspector general of police (IG) from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. The team will hold discussions separately with district election officers (Collectors) and SPs, from 2.30 pm to 6.00 pm.
On October 24, the team will meet with the director general (income-tax) and enforcement teams. After holding discussions with chief secretary S.K. Joshi, the team will address the media at 12.30 pm and leave for Delhi in the evening.
