The State Government is making serious efforts to expand IT industry in the city on four sides of its surroundings with focus on providing basic facilities and infrastructure, according to IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao.
During a high level review meeting with officials concerned at Begumpet camp office here, he discussed on the expansion of IT companies and future strategy to ensure the new companies set up their firms with all facilities.
He said that a significant number of IT companies are evincing keen interest to rope in with huge funds in the state. With conducive atmosphere in place and hassle industrial policy more number of IT companies of international repute and others are coming forward to set up their shops in the city. Grabbing this opportunity we should now focus on their expansion in all four sides of the city including Uppal, Nagole, Sanath
Nagar, Medchal, Kompally and other areas. Let us plan out with a strategy to see that the upcoming companies of IT and ITES and other industries come and find ample space of basic facilities and infrastructure in these localities.
Telangana State growth rate is more than that of the nation and the government is expecting to reach Rs 1 lakh cr IT exports soon. Now the focus has to be shifted to expanding them to other four sites of the city he said. He also discussed on to increase infrastructure and facilities in Gachchibowli and Financial district areas. Such plan with a focus on inclusive growth will help increase employment and avoid traffic problems as we gear up to set up related offices. He asked the officials to prepare an action plan accordingly to expand the IT companies of assorted type at all four sides of the city.
