The eighth phase of distribution of Rythu Bandhu amount will commence from Tuesday, marking a milestone achievement of distribution of Rs 50,000 crore in the State since its inception. Till date, about Rs 43,036.63 crore have been deposited into the bank accounts of farmers and the State government has released Rs 7,645.66 crore for distribution among farmers for Yasangi (Rabi) crop.
The amount will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiary farmers across the State over the next 10
days.
In a statement, Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy said about 66.61 lakh pattadar farmers with a total landholding of 1.52 crore acres and another 94,000 farmers with ROFR (Recognition of Forest Rights) pattas with a total landholding of 3.05 lakh acres, will benefit from the scheme. The cut off date of eligibility for the scheme is December 10.
As usual, the funds will be deposited into the bank accounts of farmers with landholding of less than two acres, followed by those with three and more acres.
