Enforce code of conduct strictly: SK Joshi

Chief Secretary SK Joshi directed the officials concerned and District Collectors to implement model code of conduct as per Election Commission directive for Lok Sabha polls.

Speaking in a video conference from Secretariat with officials, Joshi said the Collectors have to focus on election code and implement existing schemes as per norms. He sought to know from the Collectors the steps they are taking for the schemes and programs of development in the districts. The officials and the Collectors have to function as per the EC directive in implementing the schemes,



he further said. He also directed them to implement new presidential order by March 31.

“Ensure that new districts of Narayanapet and Mulugu are included in the Presidential orders”, he instructed the officials. The CS also directed them to complete the reforms for Ease of Doing Business (EODB) by March 19. Joshi instructed the Collectors to initiate steps for solid waste management, Haritha Haram, model code of Conduct, Training to newly-elected Sarpanches, survey of forest lands and seasonal conditions.
