The Congress victory in Karnataka must have been a cooling balm for Congress Legislative Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, walking under the scorching sun, on Sunday. He said the BJP’s era had ended and the future held a series of victories for the Congress.
"The victory march of the Congress that started with Karnataka will reach Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and finally the party’s flag will fly high on Red Fort at Delhi," he said.
He was speaking to mediapersons at Regadi Chilakamarri in Shadnagar constituency during his padayatra.
Lauding the verdict, Bhatti said the people of
Karnataka restored democracy. "The people did not excuse the BJP for foisting the case against Rahul Gandhi and the two-year jail term awarded to him. They saw his disqualification as an MP as an attack on democracy," he said.
The victory in Karnataka should be seen as success of Rahul Gandhi’s fight for restoring national resources and wealth to people against the BJP government’s eagerness to the handover them to Adani and Ambanis. BJP should be seen as a party igniting communal hatred in the name of religion to remain in power and looting the country to favour corporate powers, the CLP leader added.
