Chief minister K Chadrasekhar Rao on Thursday warned RTC employees that whoever resorts to strike will be dismissed. During a meeting with officials, the CM said the loss on account of the proposed strike would be more than Rs.1.5 cr per day. He advised unions not to mislead employees and resort to a strike.

The CM pointed out that the RTC had been split into different entities in some states, but

Telangana had not done that. “Don’t force the government into doing that,” he said and elaborated as to how it would negatively affect employees.

Terming the notice of strike served by employees’ unions as illegal and unreasonable, he said if the government were to meet their demands, it would mean an additional burden if Rs.900 cr for RTC.
