Facelift for Jahangir Peer Dargah soon: CM

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed the officials to come up with a plan to develop Jahangir Peer Dargah at Anmul Narva village in Mahbubnagar district.

The Chief Minister held a review meeting with his deputy Mahamood Ali, Housing Minister A Indrakaran Reddy, Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy at the camp office attended by MLAs G Balaraju, Ch Rammohan Reddy, senior officias AK Khan, Umar Jaleel, Phadivulla, Wakf Board CEO Asadullah present.

Speaking on the occasion, KCR recalled that he used to visit the site during statehood movement and now it is time to develop it. The Dargah is noted for secular fabric as people of other religions than the Muslims do flock this holy site, KCR remarked. Stating that previous governments neglected temples, mosques and places of worship of other religions, he said his government would develop Jahangir



Peer Dargah now. He asked A K Khan and Mahbubnagar Collector Sridevi to make arrangements for providing facilities to the devotees thronging the site during festival celebrations. They were also asked to see that adjacent government land can be used for the purpose after developing it.

Chader for Ajmeer Dargah

Later, on behalf of the State government, the Chief Minister offered an attractive green Chader for Ajmeer Dargah of Rajasthan wherein five-day long festivities will come to a grand finale on Thursday. After completing formalities of obeisance and prayers, KCR offered some amount of cash and gifts to the Dargah. Minority secretary Umar Jaleel and Wakf Board CEO Asadullah left for Ajmeer after collecting them from camp office.
