Fancy number plate, Manikonda RTA raises Rs. 52.6 lakh in auction

A killer VIP number plate appears to be the much sought-after status symbol for companies and individual vehicle owners in Hyderabad. Cashing-in on this craze for personalized number plates, the Telangana Regional Transport Authority (RTA) at its Manikonda office raised an impressive Rs 52.6 lakh through a recent



auction, on Tuesday.

Several high-value numbers fetched substantial amounts during the registration number auctions, RTA officials reported. Among the top bids, the highest was for the number plate “TG 07 R 9999,” which was lapped–up for a staggering Rs 12,49,999 by Congruent Developers.
